Students Compete in Southwestern Youth Music Festival
3,500 students from all over Southern California - from as far away as San Diego and San Bernadino counties - participate in the Southwestern Youth Music Festival every year. The SYMF was founded in 1964 by members of the Long Beach Branch of the Music Teachers Association of California. Congratulations to Isaac Siyluy, first place winner in the Piano Qualified 8B Division!

Students Participate in Long Beach Auditions for the
National Piano Guild
June 10, 2003
Piano students from Kato Music Studio participated in the National Piano Guild Auditions held in June. Students presented Local, District, and State programs, earning certificates and fraternity pins. The Guild adjudicator was Mr. Sidney Melton, who flew out from Atlanta to preside over Southern California Guild auditions. Thank you, Mr. Melton!
